Studio C cloggers qualify for National competition

Thirty clogging students from Studio C in Crete are slated to compete at Nationals in Nashville this year after placing in the top three for all of their dances at Regionals. Learn more about the students and their competitions in the article in the Crete News on July 3.

Wilber American Legion members honored at State Convention

Charles Zoubek and Lambert Zoubek of Wilber were awarded the Distinguished Nebraska State Legion Cody Kerr Award at the state American Legion Convention in Kearney on June 23. This award is given to Legion members for their dedicated work to the Legion and their community service.

Two events for K-12 families in Crete - TODAY

The Cardinal Community Learning Centers (CCLC) will have an ice cream social TODAY from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. on the playground of Crete Elementary. Then from 6:30-8:30 p.m. enjoy a pool party at Wildwood Pool.

Free admission for Dueling Pianos at The 1206 - TODAY

Dueling Pianos with Mike Morris and Rich Caruso will be at The 1206 in Crete tonight at 7 p.m. There is free admission for all ages.

Live music and fireworks in Dorchester July 4

The Algorhythms will perform from 7 to 10 p.m. at Nerud Field in Dorchester on July 4, to be followed by the town's firework show.

Crete Chamber Firework Display - July 6

The Crete Chamber of Commerce community firework display will be on Saturday, July 6 at 10 p.m. at the College Heights County Club driving range. Feel free to bring blankets and chairs to sit on and enjoy the show.

Teen game night - July 11

The Crete Public Library will be hosting Teen Game night on Thursday, July 11 from 4 to 6 p.m. There will be a variety of different types of games available for every different skill level. Registration is required and the event is for teens ages 12 to 17.
