The Dorchester volleyball team had a good start to the week by defeating Sterling 3-0 (25-22, 25-12, 25-8), but lost three straight, losing to Diller-Odell 2-0 (25-20, 25-19), Meridian 2-0 (27-25, 25-19) and Silver Lake 3-0 (25-21, 25-22, 25-19).

“I thought we played well at Sterling,” Coach Claire Tachovsky said. “The girls were focused and did a really nice job executing.”

During the triangular against DO and Meridian, Tachovsky said the girls played hard.

“We fought hard against Diller-Odell and Meridian and just came up a little short,” Tachovsky said.

After a long week, Tachovsky said the girls struggle against Silver Lake.

“We came out pretty flat and just couldn't get going,” Tachovsky said.

Dorchester (13-7) was scheduled to host Twin River on Oct. 8 and play at Cross County on Thursday, Oct. 10, starting at 7 p.m.
